Privacy policy

Seekly: Instant Site Search ("Seekly", "we") is an app for Wix websites, run from South Australia. This policy explains what the app does with information, for both Wix site owners who install it and the visitors to their sites.
Information Seekly reads and stores
- Your published pages. Seekly reads your site's public sitemap and the public pages it lists, and stores each page's address, title, description, headings, visible text, main image address, product price and publish date. These are pages anyone can already see on the internet.
- Where it's stored. This index is saved in a private data collection inside your own Wix site, using Wix's systems. Seekly doesn't copy it to any other server.
- Index status and settings. When your site was last indexed, how many pages were found, and your search box settings (button position, colour and wording). These are also stored on your Wix site.
- Plan status. Seekly asks Wix which plan your site is on. Wix handles any billing. Seekly never sees card or payment details.
- "I'd pay for this" choices. If you click one of these buttons in the Seekly dashboard, we record which plan you picked, when, how many pages your site has, and your site's name and address. It's saved on your site and copied to a Wix site that Seekly owns, so we can see which plans people want. It doesn't include your name or email address.
Site visitors
- Seekly doesn't collect visitors' names, email addresses, IP addresses or other personal information, and doesn't set cookies.
- Searches happen in the visitor's own browser. The words they type are not sent to us.
- To show "Recent searches", the visitor's last five searches are saved in their own browser's local storage. They never leave that device, and clearing browser data removes them.
- The search script is marked as functional, so cookie consent tools on your site can control it.
What we don't do
- We don't sell or share information with anyone.
- We don't use advertising or analytics trackers.
- We don't read your site's orders, customers, contacts or members.
Removing your information
Removing Seekly from your site stops all indexing and switches search off. The index and your settings are stored only in your own site's data. The only thing Seekly keeps elsewhere is an "I'd pay for this" choice, if you made one. Email us to delete it, or for help deleting anything else.
Your rights
Seekly is designed to handle as little personal information as possible, in line with the Australian Privacy Principles and the GDPR. To ask a question or make a privacy request, email seekly.search@gmail.com.
Changes
If we change how Seekly handles information, we'll update this page and the date above before the change takes effect.
