Seekly help

Seekly adds instant, typo-tolerant search to your Wix site. This page covers setup, settings and common questions.

Set up Seekly

  1. Add Seekly: Instant Site Search from the Wix App Market.
  2. Make sure your site is published. Seekly reads your live pages, not drafts.
  3. Open Seekly from your site's dashboard. It indexes your site automatically, and a progress bar shows each page being read.
  4. Choose the button position, text and colour, then click Turn on search. Refresh your live site to see it. You don't need to republish.

How visitors open search

What Seekly searches

Everything listed in your site's public sitemap: pages, Wix Stores products (with prices), blog posts (with dates), events and services. Category and tag listing pages are skipped because they repeat content that's already indexed.

Seekly is free for up to 50 pages, products and posts. Bigger plans for larger sites and stores are coming soon. If your site is bigger than your plan, Seekly indexes your main pages first, then products, services, events and your newest blog posts.

Keeping search up to date

Seekly re-indexes automatically when you open it from your dashboard if the index is more than a day old. After publishing big changes, click Re-index now.

Common questions

A page is missing from results. Check the page is published and not hidden from search engines in its SEO settings. Hidden pages aren't in your sitemap, so Seekly can't see them. Then click Re-index now.

Some pages "couldn't be read". The dashboard lists them with a reason. Usually the page is password-protected or members-only. Seekly only indexes public pages.

Does Seekly slow my site down? No. The search box loads after your page, and the search data downloads only when a visitor opens search.

What does "I'd pay for this" do? It tells us which bigger plan you'd want, so we know what to build first. Nothing is charged. When bigger plans are ready they'll appear in your Seekly dashboard, and it's up to you whether to upgrade.

What happens if I remove Seekly? Search switches off on your site straight away.
